Take writing to the next level and go on an imaginative journey with this online creative writing camp. We teach students to bring themselves and their creativity to life, while building advanced writing skills.

Our fun, interactive and easy to follow classes allow students to boost their writing skills in just 2 weeks, while being supported at every step with UK qualified teachers.

This online Summer Writing Camp, delivers great learning experiences right into students' own homes, while also allowing them to connect with fellow students and excellent teachers. ​

Writing an Amazing Opening, and catch your readers attention with a fast paced suspenseful prologue.​

Set the scene- Bring the character's experience to life with sensory language, vivid descriptions and specific details

The Adventure starts: Bring the action to life through the character's inner voice and experience

Building Characters: Write great character descriptions and bring your story characters to life

Mystery & Suspense: Learn the steps real authors use to build up a suspenseful scene!

Live Class times: 9am (GMT)
Price: 210 pounds (178 pounds if booked before 30th May)

What you get:

10 live zoom classes with UK qualified teacher: Lorna Day (MA Eds, PGCE, +12 years)​​

A learners Toolkit (student workbook) to support each class. Our unique expert designed Toolkits are available to download and keep to support writing after the camp finishes.

3 live feedback appointments with the teacher. This is a 15 minute, individual coaching session. The teacher will work with your child individually to build their skills.

How it works:

Young writers join the live workshop at their group time for the 1 hour live class.
-
Each class focuses on building 1 part of their story and has a main writing skills focus.

During the live class, students start writing their story using the skills practiced in class.

After class students finish their writing and post it on the shared writing board.
-
The teacher posts written feedback on every student's writing in the afternoon.

Students book individual feedback appointments with the teacher for extra support and guidance (3 sessions available per camp)

Expert Teacher: Our writing teacher (Lorna Day) is an expert writing teacher with over 12 years experience motivating, challenging and supporting young writers to develop their skills. She is a UK qualified teacher, with an MA in Education with Applied Linguistics.

Individual Feedback: We believe feedback is the key to success. Our writing camp is unique as one of the only online writing programs where students can book individual feedback appointments with their teacher. This gives students focussed support meeting them exactly where they are to help them move forward with their writing.

Online Learning at its best: Our classes bring students together on a writing journey! Classes are interactive, with fun and motivating writing challenges. Keen young writers can connect with other students and are encouraged to read and comment on each others stories throughout the camp.

Extension challenges for gifted and keen writers: This camp is suitable for mixed ability students. For keen writers who want an extra stretch, each class comes with a motivating extension challenge to help young writers really think about their story like a real author!

What is the level of this camp?
This camp is for students aged 11-14 with intermediate to advanced level writing skills.
​
This course can also be taken by advanced students who want to extend their skills.
​

We will contact you via email to collect some student details. We will also send your child a quick a questionnaire and writing challenge. This should be completed and sent back to us, in order for the teacher to asses the learning goals of your child and support your child's needs in the class.
